Best CD Rate Update - 4.5% at PenFed CU

The top CD annal percentage yield (APY) this week is at Pentagon Federal Credit Union for 5 and 7-year certificates of deposit currently paying 4.50%.

For shorter term, Borel Private Bank & Trust Company has a 5-month CD with a 3.25% annual percentage rate.

For online savings, HSBC Bank is paying 2.60%.

  1. Old Suite101 username Mike_1 here. I guess BB missed this one. What happened to the Suite101 forum? I called this crash a little early, but better early than never. DOW 8000 low for today. I'm calling DOW 7000 by the end of 1stQ 2009 earnings season. Best of luck to everyone.
